Matt Payne is a TNQ volunteer extraordinaire whose passion, despite his many talents, was for emptying our recycle bin.    (Matt, if you’re reading this, please confirm this statement!). Much to TNQ’s grief, he graduated from UW a few years ago and moved across the province; however, thanks to the glorious interweb, we’ve been able to keep tabs on each other, after a fashion, and this morning I found out about his latest project, Cup Vs. Mug. I love the idea for this project, and I’ll let him tell you about it:

Hi All,

I am starting a new zine series where a panel will judge everyday objects. This will be no ordinary competition and I need your help.

The first battle in the series will pit Mugs versus Cups. I am asking you to submit photos of your favourite, unique and stylish mugs and cups for competition (no glasses please).

Which will rule the cupboards? Your picture submissions will help determine the outcome

Post your mug and cup photos in the photo section of this group or submit them to expandingform@hotmail.com.

If you have a cup or mug that you would like entered into our competition but are unable to provide a photo, please contact me and we can make arrangements for a photo shoot.
